Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte… Where Have You Been All My Life?

I see it every year… Instagram and Facebook posts, Tweets and bloggers all raving about the return of the pumpkin spice latte.  It’s always the sign that summer is coming to an end and sweater weather and Halloween is just around the corner.  And since the beginning of pumpkin spice time, I have avoided anything food or drink related to that trend because I hate pumpkin.

One of the girls I work with got word that I have never tried a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte so yesterday morning she brought one to work for me  I have to say, I was nervous about trying because as I said above, I really can’t  stand the taste of pumpkin.  Some days I can’t even bear the smell of it.

Well, I gave it an honest shot and I can definitely see what all the fuss is about.  I completely understand why millions of people anticipate the arrival of fall every year to fuel their addictions to this latte.  It’s one of the best hot drinks I have ever tasted.  It definitely tastes like something you would want to drink in the fall on a cool, crisp day.  The obvious taste of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove definitely reek of autumn.

I don’t know when I will get to taste my next Starbucks pumpkin spice latte, but, thanks to my coworker, I’ll bet it’s going to be pretty soon.
