I first got a taste of this at a summer BBQ a couple of years ago and I couldn’t help but hover around the dish just to be sure I got my fair share of this delicious hot dip that tastes just like Buffalo chicken wings.
I have never tasted anything like it and anytime I make it for parties, it’s the first dish to empty.
Prepare it in the crock pot for an easy dish to throw together and serve. It’s a great dip for parties and your guests will all be asking for the recipe to take home.
Ingredients:
- 2 10 oz cans of chunk chicken, drained
- 2 8 oz packages of Philadelphia cream cheese
- 1 cup of Ranch Dressing
- ¾ cup of Frank’s hot sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Throw all ingredients into a crock pot and heat on low until cheeses are melted and all ingredients stir easily together. Stir well before serving.
Oven alternative
Soften the cream cheese, add the ranch dressing and mix well. Combine chicken and hot sauce and add to the cream cheese mixture. Add the cheddar and mix thoroughly.
Pour into a greased casserole and top with additional shredded cheese if desired.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 – 40 minutes until heated through and the cheese bubbles. Remove from oven and garnish with green onion.
Serve with your favorite crackers, tortilla chips or celery and carrot sticks.
